I want to recover a deleted file from a shared folder. I want to restore older versions of my Dropbox file. You can't see what a folder contains or any other details w/o restoring it, but as I said above, I do not want to restore everything right away.I have recently deleted a file/folder from my Dropbox. The website is the only way AFAIK to view deleted files, but it's terrible. Plus I'm already hella short on free space left on my account, I'm not sure whether this will interfere with the recovering process. I do not want to restore everything, but mainly my documents and game saves, and there is also the catch that it appears the Dropbox folder itself is contained in the folder in question, and it by itself is already huge, and I currently do not have the time (nor, frankly, the patience) to simply hit "Restore All" and wait another day for synchronization to finish.

I know about the ability to restore deleted files for 30 days since deletion, but it appears the function is mainly for isolated files and not such big, bloated folders as my user profile. Now, I can't stop cursing the client for such horrible practices as mislabeled buttons misleading about such important technical details as the difference between "configure" and "accept", but it won't help me recovering what was lost. Long story short, I had managed to turn it off after it had already finished synchronizing only, and after that I deleted the backup folder in the Dropbox folder, because of my understanding it's just a regular backup folder, not the original. I clicked the button labeled "Configure", thinking it will let me customize the behavior and learn more of the function initially, but turns out it jumps straight into action. During installation it prompted me to backup my desktop. Recently I have reinstalled Dropbox for an application to sync.
